Canyon
City had a short but busy life; 1897-1900. It was doomed by the White
Pass & Yukon Railway tracks built on the west side of the Yukon
River. The railway company bought the tram equipment, and the buildings
got a new life in Whitehorse. The only visible artifacts left are
can middens, middle right, and some fencing from the fox farm pens,
right. Couplings on the replica tram cars are above left. |
