Pickhandle Lake is 141 miles north of Haines Junction, and 65 miles north of the giant gold pan at Burwash Landing, on the AlCan.Clouds diffuse the sunlight to add to the beauty of this small lake. Activities such as swimming, boating, and fishing are allowed, or you can picnic at a table and enjoy the scenery. Larger vehicles should park on the highway because the rest stop parking area is narrow. Turning around is almost impossible when other vehicles are present.
