The
Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center is one of several creative
visitor centers along the AlCan. It's perched on a rise overlooking
the Chisana River Valley, at the southeast end of the refuge. The
wide decks allow plenty of elbow room for taking photos and enjoying
the scenery. Interpretive panels explain the unique construction of
the oversized "trapper's cabin." The center has Native and
wildlife exhibits as well as a variety of local area information.
If you only have time for a short break; visit the center. |
