The smaller cabin holds the most artifacts, inside and outside. The interior construction is worth examining, noting the roof joining the walls. The stove was probably hand made; the GI gas can might have been surplus from AlCan construction days. Heading north on the AlCan, there's still another 55 miles of refuge to see. The Tanana River starts here, and there are lakes and campgrounds to visit.
